Ethical Heroes (formally known as The Compost Heap)is run by Ethical Jobs and is dedicated to short, informative and, hopefully, inspirational interviews with some of the many people who are now working in one way or another within the ethical sector. Society's "Ethical Heroes" for want of a better definition.
It's not intended to be a Who's Who of the Green World. The hardest work in the charitable, ethical and environmental sectors is often done by un-named volunteers who give freely of their time for the causes they cherish.
But for those of you looking for gainful employment, the idea is to demonstrate how accessible "ethical" work really is, how "normal" the people who do it are, and how easy it is to actually make a difference to the world we live in.
If you want to find out more about what the people featured here do, or the organisations they're involved with, look for the links to their websites near the bottom of each interview.
Keep in touch with new interviews as they are added by using our RSS feed! Just click on the orange logo in the right hand side of the address bar of your browser. (This works very well with personalised Google or Yahoo homepages as well as feed readers like Bottom feeder.)
